Volunteer with WEHHS

There are a number of ways you can help us collect medical supplies on a local scale.

Spread the word about WEHHS by handing out our brochures to your friends, or posting them in your community

Contact Your Primary Health Care Provider, Local Clinic, or Local Hospital
- Ask if they have any extra supplies, or know of any of their colleagues who you can contact. You'd be surprised by how easy it is to get a box or two of supplies! We do accept out of date medications, which physicians are often disposing of. We do not accept any open medications, or personal prescriptions.
Contact Pharmaceutical Representatives
- Ask what they do with their surplus medications, and if they have donation departments

Help deliver collected supplies from donors to our warehouse in West Oakland
- Often, we are in touch with organizations and individuals who have materials to donate, but with our limited human resources, we cannot always pick them up and bring them to our warehouse in time to claim them. If you are available to help us transport our donated items to the warehouse every once in a while, please email us or call Maiya at 925.788.0746 .
- Please indicate in your email what type of car you have (or a rough carrying capacity), what locations are easiest for you to pick up donated items, and the best phone number to reach you. We will contact you when pick ups are in your area to see if you're available to help out!
